National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA)
What is an NCEMA?
NCEMA 7000 is one of these standards. Closely following the model of the international standard ISO 22301, NCEMA 7000 serves as the national standard for business continuity management systems for organizations within the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Operating under the National Supreme Security Council, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) is responsible for overseeing and enforcing compliance with national policies concerning emergency, crisis, and disaster management practices.
The agency prioritizes among its strategic goals the achievement of security and resilience. This goal directly relates to business continuity management, the comprehensive management process that identifies possible threats to an organization and the effects those threats might have on business operations.
